We still have a few memberships open for the Spring CSA. This spring our core basket is a chicken, 2 doz eggs and vegetables every other week for March, April and May.  There are also ferments, maple syrup, honey and dairy products available. Community Supported Agriculture!

After getting our feet wet with the CSA experience we have learned a lot about what works for us, our farm and our members. We have decided to stick with a small membership base, so that we can focus on growing our food in a sufficient and healthy way for us, the animals and the land. We absolutely love the idea of bringing the community together through farming and being the “farm away from home” for folks without access to land or the time for growing all the food they need. We encourage our members to come out and spend time working with the animals and the gardens to be in closer relationship with the food they eat. We really think of our small membership as our extended farm family.


If you aren’t sure what a CSA is:

In basic terms, CSA consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes, either legally or spiritually, the community’s farm, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production. Typically, members or “share-holders” of the farm or garden pledge in advance to cover the anticipated costs of the farm operation and farmer’s salary. In return, they receive shares in the farm’s bounty throughout the growing season, as well as satisfaction gained from reconnecting to the land and participating directly in food production. Members also share in the risks of farming, including poor harvests due to unfavorable weather or pests. By direct sales to community members, who have provided the farmer with working capital in advance, growers receive better prices for their crops, gain some financial security, and are relieved of much of the burden of marketing.
